Update

To backup settings
 Go to C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe
 Copy the Adobe Photoshop folder to your Desktop
To backup plugins
 Go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe
 Copy plugins to Desktop
For Windows
 Start the application
 At the same time, hold down Ctrl+Alt+Shift
For Mac
 Start the application
 At the same time, hold down Command+Option+Shift
Click yes in the dialogue box
Reinstall in Compatibility mode

 Check the box Run this program in compatibility mode
 Select OS from drop menu
 Start the installation process
